Barolo “Tettimorra” D.O.C.G
Tettimorra is not a lieu-dit but a registered trademark. Indeed, Scarpa has been producing Barolo and Barbaresco even before the creation of the D.O.C.G. A historical connection that allows them to continue producing it even though the cellar is outside the appellation’s territory, something impossible nowadays. Tettimorra is an emblem of traditional Barolo. Long fermentations in large oak casks result in youthful wines that are austere but capable of aging for decades, gradually revealing all their elegance and complexity.

WINEMAKERS / PRODUCERS
Antica Casa Vinicola Scarpa
Piedmont is filled with countless wineries, each striving for quality surpassing the next. When one mentions Piedmont, our minds almost instinctively turn to Barolo and Barbaresco. However, by heading slightly northeast on the geographical map, we discover Nizza Monferrato. This tiny village is home to estates such as Scarpa, which can rival the greatest names in Piedmont, both in terms of their century-old history and the quality and care put into wine production. Since 1854, this winery has been dedicated to showcasing the emblematic grape of the Asti region, namely Barbera. This grape variety is treated with the same rigor and importance as any other great Italian cru. At Scarpa, the motto is “tradition and long aging”.
